Strike Up A Conversation with Your Pet -Communicate with Your Animals

Conversation with petAnimals are just like humans. They eat, bathe, use the bathroom, and are sociable creatures.  Whether it is a cat, dog, hamster, rabbit, horse or even a cow, they talk and communicate with each other. When these animals are domesticated, they bond with their human family.

The human has to understand the animal, getting to know them and their feelings along with their personality. Just because a human acts one way, doesn’t mean to train an animal to be like them. They have to be let go to an extent of being just like in the wild. Watching their actions, reactions, and how they talk. Listen to the barks and meows, just like a human child, what do they mean? Are they hungry, need to use the bathroom, or actually talking to you?

Choosing a pet, instead of because it’s cute and fluffy, it’s a boy or a girl, or the color a person likes, is not listening to the animal. The animal’s personality will show immediately. How they act is a form of communication.  If the animal attaches to you practically at the hip, they are saying they trust and feel safe.

When a cat comes up to a person, and pats with their paw to them, they either want to play or get attention.  If they pat or slap away, it is because they do not want to be disturbed. A cat actually gives love bites or gentle nips when kissing. They will rub up against a person or purr really loud to show they feel loved. They do have a mind of their own, but are very intelligent animals.

A dog barks when being spoken too. They know what is good and bad if trained correctly.  They will sing with their master, be a smart teenager being a rebel talking back, and will cry and show pain. They can feel their master’s love. When their master is hurt or crying, a dog communicates with them knowing how they feel. They will whimper and put their paw on them for comfort.  A person can sit right there and only talk to the dog all day long. Some dogs really think they are human and not even a dog at times.  The dog will bark back knowing what was said, follow commands, and be helpful in many ways.

Horses are very gentle once they feel safe and become domesticated. They will bond to that one person for life. They hold those precious memories to their heart. They can smell and feel their human’s presence.  They cannot wait to see them and will whinny with glee to communicate with them. They will beg to go on a run and a nibble of sugar. Communication with a horse is crucially essential. Soothing talk and brushing them relaxes them and makes that time extra special.

Communicate with your animals. Strike up a conversation with your pets. They are waiting to talk to you. There is much that they have been trying to tell you and being listened to have not worked.  Now it can be, when you lend an ear and talk back to them gently. Show how much you care and love them with communication.
