Boxers are not small dogs, they are very playful, energetic and active. The boxer likes to be included in everything. Is boisterous dog what suits your family and your lifestyle? These dogs mature very slowly, therefore you have to wait around three, four years for them to stop acting like puppies. The boxer needs to be with its family and thrives on human companionship. Even though the boxer is short-coated, this dog does shed quite a bit of hair when the weather changes. This is independent dog, very willing to learn and work with you, but absolutely unwilling to be ordered around. Naturally, boxer is a guard dog looking after family, house and property. In fact, they might be too protective for some owners or not guarding enough for others. In most cases, training should be performed carefully in order to grow a dog that suits your preferences.
