Dogs as Pets – Separation Anxiety

Pet owners usually adore spending time with their pets. Nowadays you can create removable bumper stickers using your pet’s photo, to stick it anywhere and to be reminded who is waiting for you when you come home. Pets are also attached to their owners, especially dogs and they can sometimes have really severe separation anxiety. Dogs that suffer from this ailment tend to act and react just like small children. They have the crisis if their owner are not around them all the time. Usually, this is cute, but some dogs begin to tear apart everything in the house when they owners leave them alone.

If the dog cannot fall asleep when the owner is not around or, in fact, if he/she does not lay next to owner, then it is recommended to speak to veterinarian about possibility to solve this problem. Naturally, dogs are very close to their owners and enjoy the interaction. As pack canines they are born into the world and that makes them so attached with other animals and people as well. Sometimes after surviving some natural catastrophe, such as flood, fire or earthquake, dogs then to be sensitive and frightened when being alone. In those cases, it is recommended to look for some pet anxiety therapist in order to relieve them from the stress and unpleasant feelings. It is also good to train them to learn to cope better when the owner is not around. Usually, when they hear the noise that keys or doors make, they feel anxiety, so it is good to make those noises even if you do not go away in order to stop them being alarmed about your leaving the house. It is good to take them for a walk, because after the walk dogs usually take a nap while the owner is gone.
