I wouldn’t have believed if someone would have told me that pet photography session can be fun. But I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed one with Simon Woodcock of Pupparazzi in Melbourne, Australia. Simon is an extremely professional and experienced pet photographer who left London to live with Melbourne’s showdogs. He fell in love with pet photography in London where he was formerly working as photojournalist for international magazines and newspapers. While animal photography is his first love, he also takes pleasure in photographing landscapes, events and even portraits.
I got a chance to accompany him on a delightful photo shoot of a fun dog named Wynter. It was Christmas time and we had met Shyara, the owner of Wynter, in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I loved the idea of the dog shoot – the photos were to be a Christmas present for the dog loving daughter of Shyara! She badly needed them for her bedroom walls where the prints were to be framed, and it was actually a surprise on Christmas! I would have loved to watch the joy in the girl’s eyes after seeing the photos, but we had to move ahead just the next day, alas!
I can’t resist myself from giving here the photos of the adorable dog, Wynter, and some other dogs photographed by Simon. Each photo is a fine example of the dog’s character, as if we are not watching a dog, but a human! Wynter’s photos have been mostly taken in a grassy meadow which quite matches with his fur.
The other dogs like Wesley, Sumo and many others are too cute to let go! Enjoy their angel-like faces and super-innocent and playful gestures here and many more on Pupparazzi.com.au.
